our story
Transtech Precision Corporation was founded in 2001 in Chicago, IL by Stan Hingle. An engineer by training, Stan previously owned and operated a fastener manufacturing company in Tennessee. With all this experience he decided to begin importing fasteners, leveraging his overseas contacts. In 2001 TPC moved to Elkhart, Indiana to service customers better and be closer to the market(s) they serve. In that same year, Jeff Stetten, CPA, joined TPC as General Manager and has been providing leadership at the company ever since. In 2012 we added a line of strapping that serves the home center distribution market along with providing strapping to OEMs.
In March of 2020, the company was sold to Don Hamm who has many years of management experience with an emphasis on organizational growth. TPC’s focus in the years to come is growing the company through relationship building throughout the industries we serve while exceeding customer expectations. With the newly integrated inventory management system and upgrading warehouse layout, TPC is positioned for growth and expansion. TPC is ready for the next level and with our strategic partnerships we will continue an upward trajectory.
